The main routes

By car from the south:
From Milan take Lecco – Sondrio – Tirano – Bormio
Or if arriving from Bologna take Brescia – Edolo – Aprica – Bormio.

Important: In the winter please note that satellite navigation systems can give the wrong directions, as the Stelvio, Gavia and Forcola passes are closed, but the sat nav does not always register this. Always check which mountain passes are open before setting off.

By car from the north:
From Zurich (CH):
Recommended route: Zurich (CH) – Chur – Klosters (Vereina car train) – Zernez – Munt la Schera Tunnel – Livigno – Bormio: see map
Zurich (CH)- Chur – Julier Pass (open all year) – Bernina Pass (open all year) – Tirano – Bormio Map: see map
Only in summer: Zurich (CH)- Chur – Julier Pass (open all year) – Forcola Pass – (open only in the summer) – Livigno – Bormio: see map

From Munich (D):
Munich (D) – Garmisch Partenkirchen – Landeck (A) – Zernez (CH) – Munt la Schera Tunnel – Livigno – Bormio
Only in summer: Monaco (D) – Garmisch Partenkirchen – Landeck (A) –Resia Pass – Prato allo Stelvio – Stelvio Pass – Bormio

Once you get to Bormio:
Apartments Melide 1 and 2:
When coming into Bormio, turn left at the Le Corti supermarket, go straight on until the bottle bank, take via Silvio Pellico, continue straight and after the sign for Chalet Stelle di Neve, turn left at the sign for Casa Melide, go straight, cross the courtyard, you’ve arrived!

Apartment Melide 3:
Arriving in Bormio, continue in the direction of Livigno, at the only traffic light in the village turn right onto Via Al Forte, carry straight on and take Via della Vittoria, you will recognise to the right the antique Baroque-style entrance door to the building where Casa Melide -3- is located, you’ve arrived!
